We’re excited to welcome performers to auditions for The Santa Switch: A Holiday Jukebox Musical!
Get ready to unwrap a hilarious, heartwarming holiday adventure filled with festive music, memorable characters, plenty of laughs, and a little Christmas magic.
The Santa Switch brings the joy and energy of the holiday season to the EnKore stage with a jukebox-style score featuring familiar holiday favorites. It’s a show filled with opportunities to sing, dance, create larger-than-life characters, and celebrate everything we love about this time of year.
This production is part of EnKore Theatre Company’s Professional Series and is open to performers ages 9 through adult.
Our Professional Series brings children, teens, and adults together to create theatre as one company. Whether you have years of experience, haven’t performed in decades, or have never stepped onto a stage before, we want you to feel welcome walking through our doors.
And there’s something important you should know before you audition:
Everyone Who Auditions Is Cast
At EnKore, auditions aren’t about deciding whether you deserve a place in the show.
If you audition for The Santa Switch, you will be cast.
Auditions and callbacks give our creative team an opportunity to get to know you as a performer and determine which role will be the best fit for you and for the production.
So come audition knowing that you already belong in the company.

We are so excited to kick off the holiday season with The Santa Switch!
Auditions are our first opportunity to meet you, hear you sing, see you move, discover what makes you unique as a performer, and begin imagining how this company will come together.
And because everyone who auditions is cast, you don’t have to walk into the room wondering whether you’re going to “make it.”
You’re in.
Now we get to discover what part of this story you’re going to tell.
Don’t worry about being perfect. Come ready to have fun, make bold choices, try something new, and be yourself.
We want our audition room to be a place where performers feel supported enough to take chances.
This show is filled with comedy, heart, fantastic music, and larger-than-life holiday spirit. We’re looking for performers who are ready to play, collaborate, support one another, and bring their own personalities to the stage.

Audition Dates
October 4 & 5, 2026

Please sign up for one audition time slot only. Audition appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
No previous theatre experience is required.
Whether you’ve performed in dozens of shows or this is the first audition you’ve ever attended, we encourage you to join us.
What to Prepare
Performers should prepare:
A short musical theatre or pop song of approximately 45–60 seconds that shows off your voice, personality, and storytelling ability.
Because The Santa Switch is a jukebox musical, we encourage you to choose something that allows us to hear your vocal style and see your personality as a performer.
Please bring a backing track for your song that can be played from a phone or other device.
Choose something you feel comfortable performing.
You do not need to be the strongest singer in the room. We are much more interested in seeing your personality, storytelling, willingness to try, and the choices you make as a performer than hearing a perfectly polished song.
Remember:
You already have a place in the show.
The audition simply helps us discover what that place will be.
Dance Audition
All performers will also participate in a dance/movement audition as part of the audition process.
Please arrive in comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to move safely and confidently. Performers will learn a short combination and perform it in small groups.
We are looking at much more than technical dance ability.
We want to see your energy, storytelling, willingness to try, ability to take direction, and how you work with others.
You do not need to be an experienced dancer.
Most importantly—have fun!
Callbacks
October 7, 2026
Callbacks give our creative team another opportunity to work with performers, hear different combinations of voices, explore characters, and determine individual roles.
Being asked to read or sing for a particular character during callbacks does not guarantee that role. Likewise, not being asked to read for a specific character does not mean you are no longer being considered for it.
Everyone who auditions will be cast.
Callbacks are about determining roles—not whether you are in the show.

Rehearsals
October 11 – November 24, 2026
Sunday–Thursday
7:30–9:30 PM
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided after casting.
Not every performer will necessarily be called for every rehearsal. However, performers should keep the rehearsal period available unless a conflict has been communicated to the creative team.
We understand that performers have school, work, family, and other commitments. Please make sure all known conflicts are disclosed during the audition process so our creative team can build the rehearsal schedule accordingly.
As we get closer to performances, attendance becomes increasingly important, and additional rehearsals may require the full company.
Thanksgiving Break
There will be no rehearsal November 25 or November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Tech Week
November 29 – December 3, 2026
Tech Week is mandatory for all cast members.
This is when all the pieces of The Santa Switch come together—costumes, lighting, sound, scenery, microphones, choreography, music, technical elements, and performances.
Because of the importance of these rehearsals, no conflicts can be accepted during Tech Week.

All scheduled performances are mandatory for the entire cast.
Participation Fee
There is no participation fee for this production.
EnKore’s Professional Series is designed to bring together performers from across our community—experienced actors, returning performers, parents, young artists, and people who may be stepping onto a stage for the very first time.
Frozen gives us an especially exciting opportunity to do that.
Children can learn alongside adults. Adults can mentor the next generation of performers. Experienced artists can work beside people discovering theatre for the first time.
And together, a company of just 25 performers will bring Arendelle to life on the EnKore stage.
You don’t have to arrive knowing everything.
You don’t have to have years of experience.
You just have to be willing to create something together.
What Happens After Auditions?
Once auditions and callbacks are complete, our creative team will determine individual roles within the company.
Casting is about much more than who sings the highest note or dances the most difficult combination.
We consider each performer’s acting, singing, movement, comedic timing, energy, character choices, chemistry with other performers, storytelling, ability to take direction, and the overall needs of the production.
We also pay attention to how performers work together.
Theatre is collaborative.
Every person onstage contributes to creating the world of the show, and we want to build a company of artists who are excited to support one another, work hard, take creative risks, and create something special together.
About the Professional Series
EnKore Theatre Company’s Professional Series brings performers from throughout our community together to create exciting, high-quality theatrical experiences for Woodland and the surrounding area.
These productions bring youth and adult performers together on the same stage, creating opportunities for artists at different ages and experience levels to learn from one another.
Our goal is to create an environment where performers can challenge themselves artistically while still feeling supported enough to take risks, make mistakes, discover new abilities, and grow.
Maybe you’ve been performing your entire life.
Maybe you haven’t been onstage since high school.
Maybe you’re a young performer ready to work alongside adults.
Maybe you’re an adult who has always wanted to try theatre but never thought you were experienced enough.

Disney’s Frozen
An EnKore Theatre Company Professional Series Production
Experience the magic of Arendelle in a whole new way with Disney’s Frozen, part of EnKore Theatre Company’s Professional Series.
This intergenerational production brings together performers ages 9 through adult to tell the beloved story of Anna and Elsa while creating something at the heart of EnKore’s mission: a theatre community where artists of different ages and experience levels can create, collaborate, and learn from one another.
Whether you’ve spent years performing or have always wanted to step onto the stage for the first time, there is a place for you in this production.
Everyone Who Auditions Is Cast
At EnKore, auditions aren’t about deciding whether you belong in the show.
If you audition for Frozen, you will be cast.
Auditions and callbacks allow our creative team to get to know each performer and determine the role that best serves both the individual artist and the production.
There is no participation fee for this Professional Series production.
However, the company will be limited to a maximum of 25 performers, and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for auditions. Once all 25 available cast positions have been claimed, enrollment will close.

There will be no rehearsals December 23 & 24 for Christmas.
During the beginning of the rehearsal process, our Professional Series cast will intentionally overlap with our Frozen Jr. Academy Series performers.
This gives our younger performers an opportunity to work alongside older and more experienced artists while giving members of the Professional Series an opportunity to serve as mentors. Performers portraying the same or similar characters can explore characterization, storytelling, movement, and the world of Frozen together.
It’s an opportunity for our two productions to become one theatrical community while still developing two unique shows.

Adult Background Checks
Because this is an intergenerational production that includes children beginning at age nine, all adult cast members will be required to successfully complete EnKore Theatre Company’s background screening process before participating in rehearsals with minors.
This requirement applies to every adult performer and is an important part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for the young people in our programs.
