Meet the Instructor

Ronni La’Mar serves as House Manager and Dance Instructor for EnKore Theatre Company. Her love for the performing arts began at an early age through her mother’s introduction to musical theatre. One of her earliest memories is attending the Broadway production of The Wiz starring Stephanie Mills as Dorothy at the San Francisco Orpheum Theatre when she was just four years old. Inspired by the magic of musical storytelling, Ronni spent her childhood reenacting her favorite musicals at home, complete with props and performances of every musical number. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love of music, dance, and performance.

Ronni especially loves singing and dancing and brings years of training and performance experience in a wide variety of dance styles, including Hip-Hop, Clogging, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, African-Haitian Dance, and Ballet Folklórico. Throughout her dance career, she has performed in shows, parades, conferences, competitions, and community events. Her diverse background allows her to bring both technical knowledge and creative energy to every class and rehearsal, helping students develop strong skills while enjoying the process of learning and performing.

As an instructor and mentor, Ronni enjoys helping students discover talents they may not have realized they possessed. She believes that learning thrives in an environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and free to be themselves. Her goal is to help students build confidence, creativity, and self-expression while developing strong dance fundamentals in a fun and nurturing atmosphere. Ronni loves watching students grow, step outside their comfort zones, and gain confidence in their abilities both on and off the stage.

Ronni is especially excited to be part of EnKore Theatre Company because of its commitment to mentorship and artist development. She appreciates that EnKore welcomes students of all skill levels and provides opportunities for every young artist to grow and succeed. In addition to her work in the studio, Ronni serves as House Manager, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for families and audiences at every performance. Outside of the theatre, she enjoys solving puzzles of all kinds, spending time with her black cat Yerin, and enjoying her favorite Chinese and Italian foods. Whether she is teaching a dance class, mentoring a student, or welcoming guests to the theatre, Ronni is dedicated to helping every member of the EnKore community feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated.
